A Garden Grows Within

Inspired by Jardín Botánico Culiacán, the 2026 Gala’s identity wove the garden’s lush, layered landscape into every touchpoint.

The El Museo Del Barrio 2026 Gala celebrated several leaders in the arts community, including Isabel and Agustín Coppel. Coppel’s connection to Jardín Botánico Culiacán in Sinaloa, Mexico shaped our design language, drawing from the garden’s landscape architecture and artwork, as well as the book Coppel published on work of the botanical garden's architect. The outcome was a look that felt personal to Coppel yet remained true to the museum's identity.

In the past, the gala’s visual identity changed between different stages of the event: the save the date and invitation had one look, while the event space told another story. For this year’s gala, we created a single, cohesive system that carried through every touchpoint. Guests experienced one unified world from the moment they received their invitation to the moment they stepped into the room.
